Canon to exhibit at NAB 2012 prototype of 30-inch 4K industrial video display currently under development
United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 12th April 2012 – Canon announced today that the company is developing a new 30-inch 4K resolution industrial video display, a prototype of which will be exhibited from April 16 to 19 at NAB Show 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the rapid adoption of digital cinema, there has been a growing need among Hollywood professionals and others leading the vanguard of motion picture and video production for video displays capable of the faithful reproduction of high-image-quality, high-definition 4K video.
Canon is currently developing a 30-inch 4K resolution industrial display as a 4K video output device realising faithful colour reproduction and high-resolution, high-contrast performance. Canon will exhibit a prototype of the video display from April 16 to 19 at NAB Show 2012, the world’s largest international digital event for audio, video, film, broadcast and communications, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A.
The prototype to be displayed will provide support for cinema and other video editing processes while also responding to film-production needs through Canon proprietary high-image-quality technology and reliability. While detailed specifications and pricing have yet to be decided, Canon aims to commercialise the display before the end of 2012.
